Welcome to Bread loves Butter!  Here you'll find recipes, articles about food, and hopefully something that inspires you. I began this site after I bought a sourdough starter and took up a bread baking hobby, rekindling a love of baking that I have had since I was a kid.

 

I'm a graphic designer by trade and a hobbyist baker by weekend. I spend a lot of time experimenting with recipes and sleuthing the internet for tips and tricks to bring you easy-to-follow instructions. I'm a lover of traditional recipes, specialty flours and grains, and doing as much as possible by hand, so you'll definitely see that approach in my recipes.

When it comes to the creation of my recipes, occasionally I have guest contributors, but most of the time I've compared a range of recipes online combined with what I've got on hand to bake with, and test them out until they come out to my liking.  Sometimes I may also just adapt a recipe from another blog, and in that case I follow David Lebovitz's guidelines for recipe attribution. If you'd like to submit a recipe or article, or simply drop me a line, please do!

If you are interested in sharing my recipes or photos on your own site or social media account, I am generally okay with that as long as you link back to my site or tag me in your post. This is referring to any recipe that is by "B loves B." If you are interested in sharing a recipe on my site that has been credited to an outside party, I do not own the rights to those recipes or photos, and would suggest going directly to the site of the credited party for permission (there should be a link on the page), but feel free to reach out to me for further guidance on that.
